Two of the main goals of the Vote Yes Rapid City campaign were to reach the younger demographic and encourage them to get out and vote, as well as present the facts of the proposal to the older demographic. With those strategies in mind, we ran two separate advertisements on Facebook with different messages to reach both the younger and older demographic. Additionally, we filmed iPhone videos of community members that supported the campaign, and boosted those to increase the reach. Through Google, we ran video advertisements using the television spots we created for the campaign. We also maintained these strategies on Twitter and Instagram as well. One of our overall goals was to push early voting to help increase voter turnout, and the June 5th election saw record early voting numbers.
